A fantastic Eames Era tiki tribal barkcloth that looks like Picasso himself may have had a hand in this one.
I can see Jane Jetson ordering this fabric for George's study after reading the latest Architectural Digest.
This fabric features a mod abstract design with a definite tiki-esque vibe. The chartreuse, dark and light gray, black, and creamy white figures, that look a little like ancient Mayan hieroglyphs, pop on a frame of rusty red, gray and white. The nubby texture of this barkcloth adds yet another layer of interest to the fab textile from the fab 50s.
